Jerold Edward Knoll, Sr.
Eddie was born in Simmesport, Louisiana on December 12, 1941. For 37 years, he has been married to Jeannette Theriot Knoll, who is an Associate Justice of the Louisiana Supreme Court. Eddie is the proud father of five sons: Triston, Eddie, Jr., Sonny, Blake and Jonathan.
In 1959, Eddie graduated from Simmesport High School and served as President of the Future Farmer’s of America for the State of Louisiana 1959-1960. He received an undergraduate degree in Political Science from Louisiana State University and A & M College in 1963, and a juris doctorate from Loyola University School of Law, New Orleans, in 1966, where he was a member of the Delta Theta Phi legal fraternity.
Eddie is a member of the American Bar Association, Louisiana Bar Association, Avoyelles Parish Bar Association (President 1968-1969), the Louisiana Trial Lawyer’s Association, and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America. Mr. Knoll is admitted to practice in all Louisiana state and federal courts.
In 1972, Mr. Knoll, Sr. at the age of thirty, was elected as the 32nd District Attorney of Avoyelles Parish, and the youngest D.A. in the State of Louisiana. After serving five consecutive terms, Eddie retired in 2003 as the longest tenured D.A. in Louisiana. Eddie has earned an AV rating with Martindale-Hubbel, which is the highest rating legally and professionally that can be assigned to an attorney.
Triston Knoll
Born on June 4, 1971, Triston is the oldest of Eddie and Jeannette’s five sons. Triston is married to Tina Rabalais Knoll, a native of Plaucheville, Louisiana, and is the proud father of one daughter, Andrée Noelle Knoll, and one step-son, Tanner Ray Rabalais.
Triston is a 1989 graduate of Marksville High School, and a 1993 graduate of Loyola University where he received an undergraduate degree in Political Science. In 1996, Triston received his law degree from Loyola University School of Law, New Orleans, and also studied foreign legal systems in Moscow, Russia; Budapest, Hungary; and, Vienna, Austria.
Triston is a member of the American Bar Association, Louisiana Bar Association, Avoyelles Parish Bar Association (Secretary/Treasurer 2004-05), Louisiana Trial Lawyer’s Association, and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America. He is admitted to practice in all Louisiana state courts, and the United States District Court for the Western District of Louisiana. Triston is also honored to be listed in the 2003-2004 edition of America’s Registry of Outstanding Professionals.

Born on July 26, 1975, Eddie, Jr. is the second of Eddie and Jeannette’s five sons. Eddie, Jr. is married to Lauri Sanders Knoll, a native of Marksville, Avoyelles Parish, Louisiana, and is the proud father of one son, Jerold Edward Knoll, III ("Trey").
Eddie, Jr. is a 1993 graduate of Marksville High School, and a 1997 graduate of Loyola University, New Orleans, where he received an undergraduate degree in Political Science. In May 2000, Eddie, Jr. received his law degree from Loyola University School of Law, New Orleans. Eddie also studied foreign legal systems at the University of Vienna, Austria, School of Law.
Eddie, Jr. is a member of the American Bar Association, Louisiana State Bar Association, Avoyelles Parish Bar Association, Louisiana Trial Lawyer’s Association, and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America. He is admitted to practice in all Louisiana state courts, as well as the United States District Courts for the Western and Middle Districts of Louisiana. Eddie, Jr. is also admitted to practice in the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeal. He is also honored to be listed in America’s Registry of Outstanding Professionals.
